Westplate is a specialist in the procurement and supply of goods and services to the remote operations of the Western Australian mining and construction industries. We focus on the supply of metal products and related surface treatment and fabrication services (including steel, stainless steel and aluminium products), particularly for clients involved in the processing of bulk materials.
Our reputation to source and supply products on-time and on-budget has led us to become supply partners for many large mining and construction clients.
As dedicated supply specialists we accommodate almost any request from our clients. In the past this has included unique requests such as barbecues, bicycles, kitchen sinks, and even a turtle net.
Our focus is on supplying clients in the Perth metropolitan and remote regions of Western Australia, including the Kimberley and Pilbara regions. We also supply to clients in Queensland through our sister company CS Wear Products.

Westplate began operating in 2006 when Larry and Caroline McLeod identified an opportunity to improve the way in which goods and services were supplied to clients operating in the regional areas of WA. Westplate was born from the idea of a focused service provider, willing to partner with other like-minded businesses, to provide a level of service not offered to remote regional clients.
From its humble beginnings as a home based family business, Westplate now employs a team of over 15 staff all dedicated to providing the best service and solutions to clients. The company now prides itself of being a trusted supplier to many leading mining and construction companies in Western Australia.
The company recently incorporated Brisbane based CS Wear Products into the company to provide a wide range of wear solutions to the mining maintenance market.
The company is led by Larry McLeod, the founder of Westplate and CS Wear Products and he is assisted by a skilled and dedicated management team.
Larry McLeod – Owner and Director
Larry has a long and distinguished career in the Steel, Mining and Construction Industries over the past 40 years. Larry has worked in a number of varied roles and most of the large projects in WA over the years that has given him a wide range of knowledge regarding fabrication, supply and logistics. Larry has a very hands on approach with his clients at Westplate and prides himself on building long lasting relationships with them.
Westplate operates from a dedicated facility at Draper Place, Kewdale, Western Australia. The company also operates from the CS Wear Products facility in Brisbane, Queensland.
Westplate also operates a fleet of trucks operating from its two locations – enabling a fast and efficient logistics service to supply its clients on-time and on-budget.
